 Mary Naylor Born Florence Mary Naylor, Nottingham,1926

Mary's Stage Debut was at the Empire,Nottingham at just 12 years of age. Jack Hylon was on the bill and within weeks she appeard in his radio show. That same year she did two T.V. shows when there were only 500 sets in the entire country, and a season at the Lodon Palladium in a show Band Wagon.
Mary worked in a special section of the show called "Youth Takes a Bow" with sixteen-year-old Dickie Henderson and thrteen-year-old Erine Wise. The showwent on the road with the addition of Eric Bartholomew. The next 2 years were spent dodging bombs all over the British Isles and learing the trade.

Then Came a West End revue,a film contract and again  performing at the the Palladium again, with Tommy Trinder and Nat Jackley. Mary also did a radio series,Shipmates Ashore,and was vote"Sweatheart of the Merchant Navy" and pin up girl of the RAF. Summer Sesons,touring,and West End revues and pantos followed. When Mary was 18  she teamed up with the youngest Principal Boy in the country, then in 1946 Mary teamed up heart-throb crooner Sam Browne and they became a top of the bill Variety Act-and opened the Glasgow Empire.

In 1953 Mary met and married American magician Jack Kodell and from on she split her time between th U.S. and the  U.K, when Marry was back at home she played in Champagne on Ice,topped in Variety and did several of her own TV shows and the forerunner of The Black and White Minsrel Show. Mary was the only white face in the cast!  In America Mary starred  in a revue,with Jack, written especially for her, Maid in America.

In 1962 Jack and Mary stoped performing and are retired in Orlando Fl. were they are know to be helping the new up and comming performers
